HTP Agenda by Textilhogar: September 19th at 1:00 PM in the Ágora nude.
OEKO-TEX® certifications enable companies and end-users to make responsible decisions and protect natural resources, all driven by sustainability. During the presentation, the advantages of including the OEKO-TEX® certification in the value chain of home textile products will be discussed, ensuring the legal compliance of textile products within the European framework. Standardized solutions will be addressed, allowing customers to optimize their production processes in a more sustainable way through product labels such as OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
The STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certificate is the most widely used eco-label in the world, guaranteeing that labeled textile products have been analyzed for more than 300 harmful substances. The certification is based on the OEKO-TEX® criteria catalog with scientific foundation and neutral laboratory testing, taking into account numerous substances, both regulated and non-regulated, that could be harmful to health, as well as preventive parameters. In many cases, the limit values established for STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® exceed national and international requirements.
OEKO-TEX® is an independent international association with 17 authorized centers present in 85 countries worldwide. AITEX is the only accredited Spanish center to grant OEKO-TEX® certifications.
Speaker: Consuelo Carbonell, responsible for the OEKO-TEX® laboratory at AITEX.
